So, while life has been. A Lot for the past few weeks, and will continue to be for a few more most likely, I’m (almost) officially on leave for the next fortnight! My plan is to use the next few days to break down the notes for the new draft that I finished two days ago into chapters with clear goals to meet in each one (to hopefully keep me on track and stop me from wandering too far off the path), and then spend a good chunk of the next 2 weeks banging out as much actual prose as I can (in between, y’know, resting and refilling my spirit with inspiration from little trips to the city and into town)
This draft will be a combination of the one I finished a little while ago but felt unsatisfied with, and another that I’d tried to write in the past that was missing some of the elements and scenes that I really wanted to keep.
In addition, I’m also booked in to get a new tattoo next week of Ivo, the “villain” of the story, and I am SO excited to see the artist’s take on him!
It’s winter here now but hasn’t much felt like it yet, the weather has been so mild but still quite rainy, which is pleasant but also worrying. For now, I’ll enjoy not freezing in our non-insulated rental while it lasts (small blessings and all that)
